Carving

We actually grew and carved our very own pumpkin.... Yes farmer Larry did a great job! Also look at our little astronaut (thanks Rhonda and Irene).

34 O'WOW I AM OLD

On the 23 we celebrated my 34 Birthday. This year was different, I think we all had more fun watching Bryce play with the tissue paper. I am truly blessed to reach this birthday with such a great family and loving husband.

Vacation

This year we were planning on taking a trip to FL,instead due to possible layoffs at Larry's work we went to Knoxville instead. We stayed at Larry's parents for two days an was able to drive Cades Cove. Cades Cove was beautiful as always but it took us 6 hours to do 11miles. The traffic was bumper to bumper, Bryce did get to see his first deer. We also visited with Tara and BJ, then came home to rest.

Catch up...

I know it has been awhile since I have posted a "real blog". So I am here to play catch up as so many of our "knoxville'ins " have asked us to do. I can't believe you guys actually want to hear about labor and why I chose to exclusively pump... For starters I was totally scared out of my mind when they said they were going to induce me, but everything happened so fast . Since it has been 3 months and I am still a little sleep deprived I will try to recall. (By the way I'm taking applications for babysitters LOL) Labor was.......well labor.... a true labor of love because that is the only way I would go through this. The pain was bearable in the beginning then he broke my water and I swore I was having a alien...... A alien to big to come out(to much SyFy channel). They came and gave me a epidural that lasted for 5 minutes, yes only five because the spot in my spine they picked was were my MS has destroyed . Now the task of pushing this baby out all natural had begun. Lucky it only took thirty minutes and he was here and it was all worth it. Now I don't know if I would do it again but it was worth hearing Bryce cry and seeing Larry so happy. Bryce was a true 8lbs and 12oz but as my previous post I did not walk away unharmed. I am still dealing with a broke tailbone. But what I didn't know is how nursing would be the HARDEST part of having a baby . I thought breastfeeding would just come naturally (yea right). I didn't even give it a second thought. But really, it has been so hard.I have tried EVERYTHING that I know of to get this kid to eat from the mothership, but he still would not latch on. So I decided to do the next best thing and pump every feeding (yes every feeding!). SO far so good, no more nights sitting up crying in frustration for both of us. I supplement one bottle a day with soy formula and he is doing good(16lbs good). Granted it is alot more work always being attached to "the pump",cleaning, sterilizing, leaking, watching the clock, and always traveling with numerous extras is all worth it. Since Bryce is a true gift I only want to give him the best and whats better than the milk nature intended. Now to present time......(whew now I need a nap.) Everything is going great, we still don't have the sleeping all night thing down yet but we are getting better . We have been to Knoxville about 4 times, gainesville, and stone mountain and he has done wonderful on all the trips. Except for now we have to buy him a portable dvd player.. yes that's right we need to buy a 3 month old a portable DVD player. It all started when one day he was being fuzzy I played some videos on my cell phone. Then we did Disney channel through Verizon videos and he has been hooked ever since...... O" yeah another thing Larry got the notion to send Bryce's picture to the Chattanooga Times free press and they picked Bryce's picture to run as the daily photo. It was so great... I hope I covered everything and I will try to be a little more proactive..... Love you all...

Time fly's

Seems like yesterday we were awaiting Bryce's arrival and now he is turning three month. He is turning into his own little person, everyday he learns and teaches us something new.He has been on his first boat ride and loved it. He would cry when Larry would stop the boat! We spent labor day with Larry's family and was excited everyone was there.Larry's work has slowed down a bit and they are talking layoffs we are just putting it in God's hands, he has provided for us so far. I am just so amazed how much we have come to love and learn from Bryce.

Changes.............

It has been awhile.... Bryce is now 15lbs and 12oz and growing more everyday. We have experienced some firsts with him, just yesterday we heard his first genuine full out laugh and smile. Along with that he has rolled over and started grasping at things. We bought him a jumperoo and he loves it!!!! Larry is still working alot but hopefully soon things will slow down. We went on our family outing last weekend to stone mountain and Bryce did amazingly well. Even tho it was rainy and cold we all enjoyed the day. Along with all the good firsts we have one bad, he has his first cold. Poor Baby!!! I am so blessed to be able to stay at home and watch him change day to day. We are hoping in October we will be able to take a mini vacation to my home town Pensacola,Fl. One very blessed event our nephew Knox was Baptised we are so excited for him.

First Trip

Last weekend was Bryce's first overnight trip to Nana and grumps (Larry's parents). He did really good, but still it was a rough trip for all. He now has discovered that he can grasp toys (and glasses) and loves playing with his rattle. I swear the boy gains more weight every time I pick him up. We also got his 1 week old pictures back from Olan Mills.Sorry my post are so brief but I can only update when he is asleep which is not often. Enjoy.

Who knew....

Who knew that something so specail could BRAKE YOUR TAIL BONE. Yes that is right .... I went back for my four week check up and was asking why I still was hurting and it was hard to sit down. The doctor then said" Don't you remember?" of course I said no I was kinda to busy pushing a child out all natural . He explained that Bryce's shoulder was caught underneath my tail bone and that when the cord wraped around his neck there was no choice he needed to get him out. So the force of him rotating and guiding him out he broke my tail bone.... So I can honestly say latter that you were truely a pain in my butt...........

One Month!!

Bryce is now one month old..... It is hard to believe that much time has passed. We have no concept of the date or time. He had his first pediatrician visit and he now weighs 10lbs 14oz. The boy is growing like crazy! Everything looked good and he commented on how much Bryce is doing already.Larry has been back to work for two full weeks and Bryce misses him so much. I have posted some pics of the growing bundle of joy. Who knew that this mommy thing would be so hard I miss sleeping but then I think how god has blessed us with a gift we thought we never have. Bryce loves being held up so we bought him his first chair, it was so funny we all were sitting on the porch each in there own chair. Hope you like the pics.

Sleep Depirvation!!!!

Since Bryce has been home Larry and I now know the meaning of sleep deprivation.Bryce has decided that every night around two in the am he has a break down. This usually last a couple of hours then of course falls asleep when the sun come up and sleeps all day. We love having him but are also looking forward to sleeping more than a hour at a time. He is now smiling and follows us with his eyes were ever we walk. He also has some cute little squeaks and coos we love to hear. So no matter how much we miss sleep we are so excited to have him here, he is worth ever bit of it.

Little angel!

Bryce is already trying to turn over and does good at holding his head. It has only been one week and it is so amazing seeing him change. Larry is such a great daddy, he has been changing Bryce's diapers and keeping his eye on him at night so I can get some sleep. Needless to say we have fallen in love with this little bundle of joy and feel blessed everything has gone as good as it has.

Bryce Update.......

We went to the doctor last Thursday and had our last ultrasound. Bryce is measuring 38 weeks and weighs 8.3lbs and also he has a full head of hair ( wonder were he gets that from)!!!!!!! The doctor said everything looks good and on the ultrasound you can see his chubby face. I have been contracting regularly but nothing is happening yet. I feel Bryce is not going come on his own, I hope I don't go to far over my due date. Larry is still working hard but we have gotten alot accomplished on the house. Enjoy the video !
